Don't rub me the wrong way

It turns out, the City of New York has some real strict regulations on the massage therapy industry that it's illegal to perform a massage on any pregnant woman who is in her 1st trimester.

Ok, I don't know if it's true or not. At least it's what I was told when I was refused a massage service. The lady asked me if there is any health condition. I said, I got no condition but I am pregnant. She immediately jumped up and stared at me like I was a crazy lady who would even think of getting a massage in her 1st trimester.

Dude, I need a massage because I am in pain.

First of, I already got a clearance from my doctor, except for an official written document. Though doctor did tell me that no body would want to touch me. Second, it is my own body and I know it best. And when I said my head hurt and back hurt and need a massage. Whoever I am paying money to, better give me the damn massage.

Of course, she booted me off the premise, you know, one of those Chinese places. I left the place, pissed off and still with tremendous ache all over my body. I actually went home and cried until I fell asleep. It was the wrong treatment anyone could ever give to a pregnant woman and I protest. Let me tell you what that place is and I urge you NOT to give them any business on my behalf. They rubbed me the wrong way without even rubbing me. Argh!

Fortunately, I have the best husband ever who gives me massages almost every night, except when he was grumpy. He was totally my life-saver during the miserable 1st trimester and I didn't know if I would even survive that time without him, though I think I kinda freaked him out a little bit especially when he saw me suffer but couldn't do anything about it.

Ah, I still haven't got the damn professional 90-minutes massage I desperately needed.
